A new video for the 1965 track has been released in support of The Bob Dylan Complete Album Collection Vol. 1.
It was back in early 1964 that Bob Dylan first told us that the times they were a-changing and it would appear that he’s still keeping up to date with new developments judging by the new video for his timeless single ‘Like a Rolling Stone.’
The visuals for the Highway 61 Revisited cut aren’t quite like anything that you have seen before. Viewers are asked to flick between various channels where each program features characters and personalities mouthing along to the words. Those featured in the video include the cast of the television show ‘Pawn Stars, sports commentators on US network ESPN, a kids cartoon, a financial show, a cooking show and a rap video starring Danny Brown.
A press release that accompanied the video reads:
“Nearly a half-century later, a groundbreaking interactive project has been created for the song, allowing fans to experience the classic recording in unprecedented ways. Celebrities and reality stars are featured throughout the various channels including cameos by Drew Carey & The Price is Right, Danny Brown, Pawn Stars, Property Brothers, ESPN and more. The video showcases a patented technology platform, created by the digital media company Interlude, which allows viewers to play an active role in the story of the music video.”
