"I first heard Van Morrison’s music when I was in boarding school in Cork. I heard that incredible song, ‘The Way Young Lovers Do’, in the place where we used to all hang out. It was incredible – it just felt spiritual and wild to me. I was later given tapes of Astral Weeks and Moondance, and I played them non-stop. Then, when I got to university, I listened to pretty much everything.
"His work has a timeless feel to it. I love it for its spirituality. It’s poetry set to music. He is an incredible artist worldwide, and it makes you feel so proud he is from Belfast. I feel lucky to have experienced listening to his music over the years. Music can change people, and his music transformed me and inspired me many times – and hopefully many more times to come!"
