The mythologically inspired video for ‘Bunny Is A Rider’ features Polachek dancing through a labyrinth of boxes. “‘Bunny Is A Rider’ takes place in the storage facility of my mind,” said Polachek in a statement. “In this labyrinth, the camera is the Minotaur, but I’m the Matador so it’s game on. But like I said before, I can teleport.”

The singer co-produced the single along with her frequent collaborator, Danny L. Harle, and also co-directed its music video with Matt Copson. The 36-year old dropped the song on July 14, focusing on an aloof person who is impossible to get ahold of.
'Bunny Is a Rider' follows Polacheck’s 2020 covers of Virginia Astley’s 'Some Small Hope,' featuring Lauren Auder, and The Corrs’s 'Breathless,' along with the debut of her 2019 solo album, Pang.
"Polachek has released music with her now-defunct band Chairlift for over a decade, but Pang is her first release under her own name. This conscious change gives her a much-needed chance to redefine her art. Now, we see her most true self laid bare song after song, as themes of burning love and complex relationships permeate the album," Hot Press' Joey Molloy wrote in his review of the project.
The singer’s forthcoming Heart Is Unbreaking Tour, will be her first solo tour of the US. Oklou will feature as a special guest on the outing, which begins in Arizona in November.
