CMAT introduced John Grant onto the Manchester stage saying describing him as "My Hero".
Irish singer songwriter CMAT was joined on stage by John Grant in Manchester last night (March 8) for a live version of their collaborative song ‘Where Are Your Kids Tonight?’
The emotional performance came as part of BBC’s 6 Music Festival, which took place across Greater Manchester last weekend.
Headliners for the festival included The Smile, Young Fathers and Gossip, who CMAT was opening for.
Introducing Grant, CMAT said: "My hero. I’ve loved him since I was 14 years old. We’ve never done this before. It’s John Grant!"
Grant, who is known as singer, musician, and songwriter both as a solo artist and for his work as part of The Czars. John Grant is also known for extensive collaborations with musicians such as Sinéad O'Connor, Elton John and Kylie Minogue.
'Where Are Your Kids Tonight' is a collaboration between CMAT and John Grant on her second studio album Crazymad, for Me, which was nominated for Album of the Year at the Choice Music Prize in Vicar Street last Thursday.

Crazymad, for Me has been described by Hot Press as "Essential listening" where "the incomparable John Grant, wades in with a clarion call on the wonderfully titled ‘Where Are Your Kids Tonight’" and given a whopping 9/10.
