The 22-year-old from Texas started his career by uploading vlogs on YouTube before the success of his 2018 EP 'Sunset Season.'
Indie pop singer Conan Gray has shared the music video for his latest single, 'People Watching.' The music video follows the release of its single on July 14.
The track is an emotional, mid-tempo ballad that describes the lonely feeling of watching others around you in relationships. It was written by Gray alongside singer-songwriter Julia Michaels and songwriter and producer Dan Nigro, both of whom he thanked in an Instagram post for "listening to [him] sit on the floor and be depressed about being alone."
"i've been single my entire life," the 22-year-old said about the song in a TikTok. "i wrote this for all of us lonely people."
Gray released his first EP, Sunset Season, in 2018 and debut album, Kid Krow, in 2020. His first album reached top 5 on the US charts and top 20 on the Irish charts. 'People Watching' is the third single that Gray has released in 2021, following 'Overdrive' and 'Astronomy.'
