Directed by acclaimed Irish filmmaker Donnagh Fitzpatrick, the visuals for 'Picture Perfect' are filled with a rich and joyous aesthetic
Fast-rising Irish artist Curtis Walsh has unveiled the uplifting new video for his latest single, 'Picture Perfect'.
Shot with a rich and joyous aesthetic, the video serves upbeat and enticing images of summer fun throughout, perfectly illustrating all of our desires to break free from these recent lockdowns. Check it out below.
Speaking about the new video Curtis said, "This song really meant a lot to me so I wanted to make sure the video really complemented the whole vibe of the song. It had to be uplifting and have a good happy energy to it."
"There was a little bit of back and forth on the ideas and treatment for this video, but quickly enough we got to a place where the song and video really linked nicely with each other."
The video was directed by Donnagh Fitzpatrick, an Irish filmmaker from Meath. His directorial debut and follow up film Turf made their world premieres in the Short Film Corner of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, as well as screenings in the Irish film festival circuit. He worked on 'Picture Perfect' alongside producer Luke Daly, an award-winning, IFTA-nominated director; and director of photography Kevin Minogue, who has garnered nominations from IFTA and Kinsale Shark Awards.

Adding about the video, Fitzpatrick said, "The second I heard Curtis Walsh's song 'Picture Perfect' I knew I wanted to direct the video. The track is so much fun and after so long in lockdown we loved every minute of bringing to life the perfect summer's day music video - the day everyone’s been waiting for."
Curtis Walsh hurled himself into the music industry after finishing school, releasing his first single 'Full Recovery' in 2018. An emotionally wrought offering that earned him more than one million streams on Spotify in the first week, the young Dubliner has a talent for crafting snappy and melodic pop hooks with meaningful subject matter. 'Picture Perfect' uses an instantly memorable hook to help create a summer jam sees him take his captivating aesthetic to the next level. He also featured last April on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions.
Curtis will also be playing a number of headline shows around Ireland later this year, as well as a performance at Hit The North Festival in the UK in October. Full details and dates can be found below.
