Former Ten Speed Racer frontman Dermot Barrett has shared with us the video for his latest solo single, ‘Save Me With Love’.
Already hailed by Hot Press as “a cool breeze of a love song,” ‘Save Me With Love’ is the latest release from last years’ album Dawns Eras Tides.
Shot in Barrett’s adopted homeland of Norway by Pål Edison Andersen, the video shows him battling with a deluge of water as he makes the titular imploration - not drowning but waving, as one lower third proclaims.
Dawns Eras Tides was Barrett’s first release under his own name and achieved critical acclaim - Tom Dunne named it in his top albums of 2016 and it was featured album of the week on the Dan Hegarty’s The Alternative on 2fm.

This summer Barrett is set to go on his first full-band tour since his Ten Speed Racer days, playing a string of Irish dates with a band including fellow Ten Speed Racer man Joe Chester and former Future Kings of Spain members Bryan McMahon and Anton Hegarty.
They’ll play:
Upstairs at Whelans, Dublin - 15 June
Cleere’s, Kilkenny - 16 June
Phil Grimes, Waterford, 17 June
Doolin Folk Festival, 18 June
