Vevo has today shared videos of Dermot Kennedy’s live performances of 'Outnumbered' and 'Couldn’t Tell'.
Having released a handful of the biggest Irish and international hits in 2019, Dermot Kennedy has spent the last six months setting himself up for global dominance.
The whirlwind success that he's enjoyed since the release of his self-titled first collection of songs led to the Dublin songwriter selling out his first ever headline show at the 3Arena. Tickets for his second show are still available.
Dermot Kennedy sings with a fire in his soul and writes with raw, unfiltered honesty - reflective of both his emotional and musical maturity. It's a rare combination that enables both his recordings and performances to cover such a wide and potent spectrum.
Since the release of his April 2017 EP, Doves and Ravens, and his follow-up single 'Moments Passed,' Kennedy has shot to over 300 million plays on streaming platforms and has been praised as a “big, beautiful and bold” new voice by Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. He’s also supported Lana Del Rey and worked his way on the radar of rap super producer Mike Dean (best known for his work with Kanye West and Travis Scott), with whom he made his five track mixtape.
At the tail end of 2018, and with the success of his single 'Power Over Me' still rolling, Kennedy was hailed as NPR Slingshot’s “Best New Artist of 2018,” as voted for by readers and fans.
More recently, Marcus Mumford praised Dermot Kennedy in an interview with Hot Press magazine, ahead of Mumford & Sons' headliner there in June, where Dermot Kennedy provided support. Read the full interview here.
