Following the release of his lauded new single 'Something To Someone' earlier this month, Dermot Kennedy has returned with the track's highly anticipated music video.
"To be something to someone," Dermot says of the single. "To love and be loved in return. What a comforting thought it is to know that no matter what you endure, no matter how lonely the world may seem, you’re still on somebody’s mind. It is the only thing. I want this song to be a reminder to whoever hears it that they are loved."
The new track follows the Irish singer-songwriter's 2021 single, 'Better Days', which was crowned the Choice Music Prize Song of the Year.
With his debut album, Without Fear, remaining a mainstay on the Irish charts a full two-and-a-half years after its release, the Co. Dublin star has firmly established himself as one of the most powerful forces in Irish music.
Dermot will be coming home to play nine major headline shows this June at outdoor venues across Ireland and the UK, selling over 110,000 tickets in total. He's then confirmed to support Shawn Mendes on the first leg of his 2022 North American Tour from June through August, before headlining Ireland’s Electric Picnic Festival on September 2 for his biggest festival headline performance to date, playing to over 70,000 people.
