The live performance video perfectly encapsulates the individual members personalities, bringing their music to 'Life'.
Limerick-based indie-rock outfit, Dylan Flynn and the Dead Poets, have released a live performance video for their latest single 'Life'.
The music video, shot by Wojciech Kwiatkowski, provides a perfect accompaniment to the bubbly, yet thought-provoking offering, with each band member's personality excellently captured. While harmonious in creating music, each building block to this group has a vastly different essence, which Kwiatkowski has masterfully eyed.
The video for 'Life' returns to the band's roots - shot in their old local college pub, and reflecting the "stuck in the past" theme of the track. A simple, easy watch - from colour scheme to entertainment value - the video keeps viewers interested and engaged throughout, and leaves you craving a pint of Guinness!
The Dead Poets consist of Dylan Flynn on lead vocals and guitar, Keagan Forde on guitar and backing vocals, Chris Britton on keys and saxophone, Evan Forde on drums, and Emmett Ryan on bass and backing vocals.
The quintet met in college and now use their music to delve into themes of loss, relationships and mental health - blending elements of jangle-pop and alt-rock, and taking influence from bands like The War on Drugs, Radiohead and The 1975.
Speaking about 'Life', frontman Dylan said: "'Life' is an upbeat Indie anthem that blends elements of Americana and Jangle Pop. The song delves into themes of regret and guilt, constantly reflecting on what I could have been done different."

Explaining the video, Flynn adds: "The lyrics to 'Life' detail the struggles of trying to leave the past behind and how it's hard to forget the low points. The Country Club, which is the pub we filmed the video in, was our local when we were in college.
"It holds a lot of memories for me, some good, some not so good, and that's why I felt it was the perfect location to shoot the video."
Having written and recorded the track in their small studio space in Limerick city, the group enlisted the help of Mike Gavin (Windings) as co-producer and mixer, and the mastering skills of Richard Dowling.
