Take a look at the Dublin-born singer-songwriter's latest video below.
Following a string of acclaimed singles in 2020 – as well as a lauded appearance on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series in November – Eoin Glackin returned earlier this month with his latest single, 'How Quick The World Can Change'. Now he's back with a brilliant animated video for the track.
With three albums under his belt, as well as support slots for the legendary likes of The Darkness, Joan Armatrading and Aslan, Eoin Glackin has emerged as one of the country's most captivatingly original singer-songwriters.
'How Quick The World Can Change' is rooted in a simple, but powerful, sense of optimism – and the positive belief that things can always take a turn for the better, if we work at it.
“I wrote it around this time last year, in those early moments of the pandemic, when everybody seemed to be on the same side,” Eoin comments.
Featuring blues-inspired finger picking, the track was produced by Justin Adams – an internationally renowned Blues and World music producer, musician and long-time collaborator of the legendary Robert Plant.

“Myself and Justin hit if off talking about Mississippi John Hurt – the great folk and blues singer/guitar-player whose work I’ve come to admire more and more over the past few years,” says Eoin. “I’ve been aiming for a raw, stripped-back sound that still sounds full. Justin got that straight away. I recorded my parts on the 6-string banjo at home and sent them to him. We went back and forth with ideas and he added his parts. It’s a pity we can’t get into a room together yet, but it was a joy to work on this record with him.
"We've a few more things in the oven too!” he adds.
