Take a look at the Irish band's performance below.
Following the release of their acclaimed third album, Skinty Fia, on Friday, Fontaines D.C. made their triumphant return to American TV last night, with a performance of their album track 'Nabokov' on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Introduced by Meyers as a "fantastic, Grammy-nominated band", Fontaines D.C. were in New York as part of their extensive North American tour. During their time in the city, the Irish band also swung by Times Square, to take a photo with their own digital billboard on display there.
A wee trip to catch our faces in Times Square to round off our few days in NYC. Thank you @LateNightSeth @brooklynsteel and ye gorgeous people of New York.
We’re touched by everyone’s response to Skinty Fia. Love, FDC x pic.twitter.com/WBizGefcHE— Fontaines D.C. (@fontainesdublin) April 28, 2022
Judging by their midweek sales, Fontaines D.C. look set to score their first No.1 album in the UK with Skinty Fia – outselling their closest competition four-to-one during the week.

It's widely expected that the band will also go No.1 in Ireland, though they face tough competition from Ed Sheeran's 2021 album =, which was last week's chart-topper in the run-up to his Irish tour.
"A large part of what Skinty Fia is about is the way Irishness becomes exaggerated and embellished when we’re abroad," frontman Grian Chatten recently told Hot Press. "And how whether it’s in parts of London, Boston or Vancouver, we still cling together for various reasons including the discomfort of being ‘othered’, which I’ve been feeling. It’s fertile soil for creativity.”
Earlier this week, Fontaines D.C. released a statement, noting that they were forced to postpone their show at Paradise Rock Club in Boston – revealing that Grian has been "diagnosed with laryngitis and has been advised to rest his voice for a few days."
