Irish post-punk heroes Fontaines D.C. have dropped their latest track and video 'Here's The Thing'.
Described by vocalist Grian Chatten as "an anxious tune that twists and turns in what it wants, back and forth between pain and numbness,” the song follows on from 'Starburster' and 'Favourite' and is the third single to be released from their highly-anticipated LP Romance, out August 23.
A teaser for the song was shared last week via Instagram, alongside an announcement of the band's biggest ever headline show in London's Finsbury Park next July.
Recently given a 9/10 rating as the Hot Press Album Of The Month, Romance marks the five-piece's fourth studio full-length. Produced by esteemed Arctic Monkeys collaborator James Ford, the project is the first to be released through XL Recordings. It follows 2022's Skinty Fia, 2020's A Hero's Death, and 2019's Dogrel.
Last week, the group announced a series of global Romance listening parties – including events at Spindizzy Records in Dublin and MusicZone in Cork, both taking place on August 15. Fontaines D.C have also been touring the record extensively this summer, with a pair of massive headline shows at the 3Arena lined up for 6 & 7 December.
