The Norwegian indie-pop sensation released her debut album 'if i could make it go quiet' last month.
girl in red has released a video for her track 'body and mind', taken from her debut album.
The 22 year old Norwegian, who can already count the likes of Billie Eilish and The 1975's Mattie Healy as fans, released if i could make it go quiet in April this year.
"'Body And Mind’ was an outlet to express that I’ve gotten a deeper understanding of what it is to be human," girl in red, aka Marie Ulven said.
"It’s that dissonance between your mind and who you are as a person...Sometimes it’s really hard to grasp that we’re actually just humans, even though we take that shit for granted every day."
The track’s video directed by Thea Hvistendahl is a creepy companion for the candid indie-pop song, giving off a strong Wicker Man-inspired ambiance.

On working with Hvistendahl, Ulven said; “she’s absolutely crazy and really funny. Making this video and giving ‘Body And Mind’ a new dimension with these visuals is really dope. It feels like it’s been awhile since I’ve seen some witch shit so it was about time!”
girl in red started out making music in her bedroom as a teen, releasing her debut breakout single 'I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend' online in November 2016.
"Themes of mental health struggles, sexuality and adolescence are powerfully juxtaposed against a high-energy indie-pop soundscape, as she unapologetically pushes at the boundaries of both genre and social norms," Hot Press' Lucy O'Toole wrote in her review of if i could make it go quiet.
"At 22-years-old, girl in red embodies the key Gen Z values in her music – taking a provocative stance in the rejection of traditional labels, and boldly embracing freedom of expression."
