The British rock band also played their latest single ‘I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance)’ and ‘Heat Waves.’
Glass Animals have turned the stoney energy of Lorde’s ‘Solar Power’ into a danceable bop with their cover of the track on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
The Oxford outfit played the title track from Lorde’s latest record Solar Power and some of their most recent hits including ‘Heat Waves’ and ‘I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance). The four-piece were supported by a number of backing singers for their ‘Solar Power’ cover.
The British group recently made chart history as their single ‘Heat Waves’ had the longest ever climb to the Billboard Top 10 after 42 weeks in the charts. The single takes the title from Carrie Underwood who took 36 weeks to reach the same position ‘Before He Cheats.’
‘Heat Waves'’ success was partially attributed to a viral Tik Tok trend featuring the single from Glass Animals latest album Dreamland. The group returned in September with their first release since Dreamland when they dropped ‘I Don’t Wanna Talk (I Just Wanna Dance).’
Glass Animals recently got a Grammy nod when they were nominated for Best New Artist for the 64th edition of the awards ceremony. They were nominated alongside Jimmie Allen, Finneas, The Kid Laroi, Olivia Rodrigo, Baby Keem, Japanese Breakfast, Arlo Parks, Saweetie and Arooj Aftab.

The English group recently played two dates at Dublin's 3Olympia theatre. In her report of their first night in the capital, Hot Press' Chelsea Henderson wrote:
"It was clear throughout the entire concert that the crowd was having the time of their lives. Between a couple songs, they cheered olé olé olé, momentarily pausing the concert. Bayley and the other Glass Animals members couldn't help but pause in awe, watching the crowd sing for them."
