Former One Direction star Harry Styles is currently in the middle of his "Love on Tour" jaunt across North America.
On Saturday night, Harry Styles performed 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' during his Halloween-themed show at Madison Square Garden, channelling Dorothy Gale on stage.
Recreating The Wizard of Oz alongside his band, the pop artist and actor donned a blue gingham dress with a bow in his hair, bright red leggings, bobby socks and a pair of the iconic ruby slippers as he sang, “Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high/ There’s a land that I heard of once in a lullaby/ Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue/ And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.”
Styles made sure to perform his own hits throughout the show, with 'Only Angel,' 'Lights Up,' 'Watermelon Sugar,' and 'Kiwi' featuring on his setlist. The concert wasn’t complete without a nod to his boyband roots, with Harry singing 'What Makes You Beautiful' to an adoring crowd.
The former One Direction member is currently in the midst of his “Love on Tour” jaunt across North America in support of his Grammy nominated 2019 sophomore album Fine Line. The album was Ireland's Christmas No.1 back in 2019, just before Covid hit. In her review in the Hot Press Bumper Christmas Special, Selina Juengling describes Fine Line as "a stunningly powerful record."
One more 'Harryween' show will take place at Madison Square Garden tonight before he heads west for the month of November. Masks and proof of vaccination would be required at all tour stops for both attendees and tour staff.
