After releasing 'Glass' last spring in support of the Marriage Equality Referendum, HAWK return with another politically-charged anthem
HAWK have shared a new track and video for ‘Once Told’, a protest song about Ireland's current abortion laws.
This is the second track the London-based quartet has released in the last 8 months which relates to current political and social issues in Ireland. The first was a track called ‘Glass’, which expressed the band's support for the Marriage Equality Referendum, which took place on May 22nd 2015.
Hawk are fronted by Julie Hough, who handles lead vocals and acoustic guitar with the band. Julie is from Galway, and returned to Ireland specially to vote in the Marriage Equality Referendum.

The new single is released on February 22nd, and an EP will follow sometime in the spring. HAWK had a busy 12 months, hitting the road on a UK and Irish tour and visiting the not-so-sunny south west of the country for the new series of Other Voices. The first episode of Other Voices is due to be aired this Saturday at 11.15PM on RTE 2.
