Dunx's previous life as a producer and engineer seen him work in Abbey Road, Electric Lady, Shangri La and Third Man Records to name a few; showcasing his talent for the likes of U2, Sorcha Richardson, Camilla Cabello, Inhaler and more.
Irish born, Australian raised musician, singer and songwriter Dunx has shared the visuals for his brand new single, 'One of Us'.
The surf blues meets desert rock number shows off the artist's old school rock & roll flair, proving his place as an artist “poised for a major international breakthrough”
The music video accompanying 'One of Us' features the street becoming Dunx's stage; a streetlight as his spotlight - his epic guitar playing and performance style front and centre. The audience get the chance to witness an insight into the edge, grit and dark vibe of the rising star.
Working with Ross Stewart - director of Sorcha Richardson’s iconic ‘The Starlight Lounge’ - as well as ‘Oh Oscillator’ and ‘Honey’ music videos, Dunx’s ‘One of Us’ drew inspiration from PJ Harvey’s ‘This Is Love’. Dunx wears a suit gifted to him at a '70s dress up party in the video, which saw brothers Dunx and Ross film within their 5km limit across three quiet evenings on Howth Head. The pair witnessed a comet and Elon Musk’s Starlink cross the Dublin night sky, and used the fog to add to the overall drama of the visuals.
Dunx has worked on large scale tours, festivals and TV performances for SNL, Jimmy Fallon, Live at The BBC and The Grammys. It’s about time for him to step into the limelight in his own right after making his mark as an engineer, guitar/keyboard tech and producer for several years with U2.
The indie-rock talent has finally turning his focus to working on his own music, spending hours on tour writing, drawing inspiration from travel and nature, filtered through his sometimes sunny, sometimes solemn state of mind. Writing and producing all of his own tracks - 'One of Us' was recently recorded at his friend David Curley’s recording studio, The Clinic.

Inspired by the likes of Pixies, Amy Winehouse and Nick Cave - Dunx's guitar centric sound is filled to the brim with contemplative lyrics and distinctive vocals.
'One of Us' was written as an internal conversation between the optimistic and dark side of one’s brain. David Curley plays bass on the track, with Dylan Lynch (Soda Blonde, Little Green Cars) lending percussion.
Dunx mixed the track himself - the second original release under his new moniker. We can't wait to see what the rest of 2021 brings for the exciting genre-blending musician.
