Úna Keane's live LP 'Collaborations' was recorded at Dublin’s Pepper Canister Church, and was released in November 2020.
Contemporary musician Úna Keane has shared the beautiful, ambient visuals for 'Silvaticus // Sunrise' , the second single from her 2020 live album Collaborations.
The first single from the album, 'Hollow', featured archive film footage of haunting winter scenes.
Recorded live at The Pepper Canister Church in Dublin on March 5th, 2020; Keane's 11-track intimate album Collaborations forged an otherworldly atmosphere inspired by space, time and movement.
The video to accompany Úna's latest single takes inspiration from UK-based wildlife photographer and filmmaker Dylan Winter's work. Made up of piano, electronics and birdsong; it's a track to remember.
"'Silvaticus' means 'of the woods', and the track features bird song I recorded in the early hours of New Year's Day 2019 while staying with friends in a cottage in the woods outside Lismore, Co. Waterford," Úna tells Hot Press of the video's creation process.
"I snook out at 5:45am with my Tascam handheld recorder and recorded the middle to end of the dawn chorus. It was magical to witness. Blew me away. For the visuals: I approached Dylan Winter about using footage of Starling Murmurations that he shot at Oxmoor (at dusk) in 2013, and he kindly agreed."
