And this trailer dishes out plenty more of that grim green gore.
The trailer opens with the Queen of Azeroth (Ruth Negga) solemnly speaking; "We have had peace in these lands for many years now...but one of our villages burns tonight."
It's the stuff that video-game fanatics either dream of or despise; their beloved game being adapted into a film. However, director Duncan Jones (Moon) seems to have captured the essence of the war-torn Azeroth and that's only basing it on the 2 minute trailers. The land of Azeroth is thrown into turmoil when a portal opens up between the human world and the Orc world and each species clash as they fight for ownership of the land. The cast stars Ruth Negga, Dominic Cooper, Travis Fimmel and Toby Kebbell.
Warcraft: The Beginning is one of the game-turned-movie blockbusters to hit screens this year as Michael Fassbender's Assassin's Creed follows in December. Warcraft is released in Irish cinemas on June 3.
