The most popular TikTok sounds work because they get stuck in your head, and few have been so effective at hypnotising the internet as 'Jiggle Jiggle'. The tune, popularised on the video app, was originally taken from a clip of Amelia Dimoldenberg interviewing Louis Theroux on her show Chicken Shop Date.

The clip was auto-tuned by producers Duke & Jones and released as a single on Spotify in May of this year. Jason Derulo - singer, dancer, TikTok star in his own right - has taken the tune one step further with the release of the 'Jiggle Jiggle' remix.

Accompanying the song, featuring both Dimoldenberg and Theroux, an official music video has dropped. The concept for the video was developed by Dimoldenberg and switches between her and Theroux frequenting a myriad of chicken shops, late night diners, and drive-throughs, to Jason Derulo adding his own verses to the song, and to people dancing to the catchy chorus.

The music video also has cameos from Brooke and Jess, the TikTokers who developed the popular dance for the song. The rap has accumulated over 7.5 million videos on the app including contributions from Lizzo, Snoop Dogg, Shakira, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Lours Theroux has been involved in the making of documentaries for the past 25 years and has won several awards for his work on projects like When Louis Met... and Weird Weekends. His foray into the music world was an unexpected whirlwind and (obviously) quite exciting.

Amelia Dimoldenberg is a English journalist, comedian, YouTuber, and television presenter known for her popular web series Chicken Shop Date.

Duke & Jones are a Manchester-based DJ & producer duo. With their philosophy of 'less is more', they are known for their innovative and unconventional production and marketing strategies. From premiering an EP on Only Fans to the staggering success of their 'adding autotune to random videos on TikTok', the artists have been heralded for their creativity.

The resulting video is as eclectic and endearing as the diverse cast of characters and influences it embraces. With a plethora of niche internet references baked into the very conception of the track, this video is both delightful and (necessarily) a little bit ridiculous.
