Try not to text your friends to arrange a holiday after watching this sun-soaked video...
Indie-pop trio Just Wondering have unveiled a new single today celebrating the love story of friendship, accompanied by a DIY video by Adam Redmond.
"This video is dedicated to our friends, and to friendship. Friendship is a love story, just like romance, and this is a small part of our side of that story," a blurb for the video reads. The interspersed clips feature all members of the band, with their closest pals in locations far and near. From holiday snaps to Dublin memories, it's a slideshow celebrating spending every second possible with your favourite people. It's also a pretty accurate feeling of nostalgia in your later 20s, while the music soars with summery grooves and uplifting energy.
Featuring warped vocals on a bed of shimmering synths and infectious beats from producer Redmond, it's another catchy gem from the fast-rising three-piece.
"I get older with all the people I love and this is all I have to show for it...and show it I will," the video reads. "Photos in our wallets, joy in our hearts...never to die."
Wale Akande, Jack O’Shaughnessy and Adam Redmond (aka Just Wondering) first emerged in November 2020 with debut single ‘Drive’. Their style melds modern addictive earworms, synth-pop melodies, soul vibes, guitar licks, electronic textures and processed vocals, with party playlist results and a sardonic sense of humour.
