As part of our nightly YouTube series celebrating Van Morrison's 75th birthday, Leslie Dowdall performs 'Philosopher's Stone', and shares her reflections on Van's music.
Initially rising to prominence as the lead singer with In Tua Nua – who were first act on U2's Mother label before joining Island Records – Dublin singer-songwriter Leslie Dowdall has enjoyed a successful solo career since the '90s, and was voted Best Female Artist at the Hot Press Awards in 1997. She also works with young people as part of Music Generation Wicklow.
