As part of our celebrations for Van Morrison's 75th birthday, Malaki performs 'Someone Like You', and shares his reflections on Van's music.
Following the success of his stunning Butterfly Boy EP and his collaborative Cocoon series, Malaki has emerged as one of the most compellingly original new voices in the Irish hip-hop boom.

"My reason for choosing to cover 'Someone Like You' was simple. It was the first song I heard by Van Morrison while driving with my mother in the car. I asked my mother who it was, and she replied, 'That’s Van the Man'. I've felt a connection to this song and his music ever since."
