Northern Irish Steve Scullion aka Malojian brings us a new video for ‘Let Your Weirdness Carry You Home’ - the title track from his most recent 4th album.
This track sees Malojian putting a more lo-fi garage rock twist on his folk-y, Americana sound. With melodies which wouldn't be out of place on a Grandaddy cult classic and guitars that would make even The Jesus and Mary Chain worry, this is an ever evolving artist who once again produces the goods.
The video, directed by Belfasts’s Colm Laverty, is a surreal and nostalgic bit of work - mixing themes of childhood, alien abduction and all round weirdness, it is a fitting accompaniment to a melodic and leisurely track.
Laverty went about creating videos for all 11 songs on the album by mixing newly shot material with footage from The Irish Film Archives, the archives of National Museums NI, and The British Film Institute from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s - if this is anything to go by, it is to great effect.

He also shot a short documentary of the same title through some of the recording sessions for the album at Rathlin East Lighthouse which is a beautiful watch.
