Marlene Enright has just released her new single 'Alchemy,' treating listeners to a sample of her debut solo album Placemats and Second Cuts, which is due out in March 2017.

Prior to focusing on a solo album, Marlene sang with the Cork 5-piece band The Hard Ground. But now she is ready to fly free as a vocalist and create music that is described as having a sound of "modern roots, evolved over as it has over decades to something that is unmistakably 21st Century while still carrying echoes of the past."

‘Alchemy’ embarks on a path to rediscovery and the choices along the way that Enright has made. Enright turns her past anxieties into a golden road, as a true alchemist can do.
