The rock legend said he's "excited to share some new solo music".
Stones supremo Mick Jagger has released two new songs, both with alternate versions which are bound to get people's attention.
Both songs feature a dose of world-weary politics, leavened by Jagger's usual razor-wire humour.
Musically, they draw on hip-hop and funk just as much as on the slinky blues-rock that Jagger is known for.
They are accompanied by what Jagger calls "Gotta Get a Grip / England Lost Reimagined", which are full of twists - including a Skepta verse on 'England Lost' which solves the puzzle of the famous Instagram photo posted some weeks ago.

Meanwhile, 'Gotta Get A Grip' has been remixed by artists including Alok, Seeb, Matt Clifford, and Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.
In a press release, Jagger said that he "started writing these two songs a few weeks back and wanted to get them out to you straight away."
"It's always refreshing to get creative in a different fashion and I feel a slight throwback to a time when you could be a bit more free and easy, by recording on the hoof and putting it out there immediately."
Both songs are available to buy and stream from Mick Jagger's website MickJagger.com.
The original version of 'Gotta Get A Grip' and 'England Lost' are below. The video for the latter features noted Welsh actor Luke Evans.
