A new television series is being released through mass American television network, AMC.
The pilot episode will be directed by comedian and actor, Seth Rogen, and screenwriter, Evan Goldberg.
The program will detail the life of a preacher in a small town in Texas, who is possessed by an evil demon. In the past, the demon caused the preacher, Jesse Custer, to massacre an entire church congregation.
The demon embodies himself in the form of an infant who has no will power in himself. Despite this, he it composed of both pure good and pure evil, which could liken him to the closest form of a god that there is.
Steve Dillon and Garth Ennis will also executively produce the series, and it will star Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, Ruth Negga, W. Earl Brown and Ian Colletti.
Preacher is scheduled to debut some time in 2016.
