A new superhero series aired yesterday on American television network CBS.
Supergirl is about a modern day superwoman, who was sent from planet Krypton to Earth when she was 12-years-old. Raised by a foster family and accompanied by her sister, Supergirl Kara Zor-El learns to conceal her powers, which she shares with her cousin, Superman. Now an adult working as an intern for a media mogul, she feels as although her capabilities are not put to proper use. Her extraordinary powers are put into the spotlight after she saves an airplane to Geneva from crashing. Now, Kara must juggle her ordinary life, career and relationships with being National City's very own Supergirl.
