Regarded as "The most human movie of the year. And it doesn't star a single human," Anomalisa is directed by Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson, and will showcase the life of a number of people made out of clay and their lives.
In the past, Kaufman wrote the screenplay for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and won an Oscar along with Michel Gondry and Pierre Bismuth for his work.
The story of Anomalisa will feature a man who is crippled by the mundanity of his current life. He meets a woman that he falls in love with, and eventually his life becomes transformed.
The cast will only feature three stars as voiceovers, including David Thewlis as the protagonist, Jennifer Jason Liegh as his love interest and Tom Noonan as everyone else.
Anomalisa will be released in Irish theatres in 2016.
