The Galway singer-songwriter has also announced an upcoming tour and limited edition merch for the one-year anniversary of her debut album Hemet.
Niamh Regan has shared the new video for her song 'Two Seagulls.'
Released in celebration of the one-year anniversary of her debut album Hemet, the 'Two Seagulls' video was created as part of the First Cut! Youth Film Festival's Youth Music Video Competition 2021. It was written and directed by Dublin filmmaker Aisling O'Regan Sargent.
"From the very first time I heard 'Two Seagulls' I was sucked into the world of this melancholy love song," said O'Regan Sargent. "Niamh's voice and melody wraps around you, and you want to listen and understand what the story is. After speaking with Niamh, she made it very clear that this was a love story and a song about 'weathering the challenges' that most long term relationships face but what brings you together is the foundation of the friendship you share."
She added that she wanted the audience to feel the longing in the "physically close, but emotionally distant" relationship.
"This music video doesn't have a typical romantic story but to me, Niamh wrote a love song about coming out the other side of hardship and making that choice to see each other again," she said.

To further celebrate Hemet's one-year anniversary, Regan has also announced an upcoming tour of Ireland and limited edition merchandise.
Regan will perform throughout Ireland through November, including a show presented by Singular Artists at Whelan's in Dublin on November 18. Tour dates and tickets are available on her website.
Her limited edition merch includes tote bags and t-shirts designed by Lauren Varian. They are on sale now on her Bandcamp.
"I'm not sure how to put the past year into words," said Regan. "The reception to Hemet has been overwhelming in the most positive way. I have so many people to thank who made the journey and record possible and thanks to everyone who has listened, shared and supported me to this point. Wouldn't be writing this without all you've done. I look forward to making and sharing more music with you all soon."
Regan previously appeared on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series and was featured in the Hot For 2021 Irish Acts. Revisit her interview with Hot Press here.
She recently released the first single from her upcoming EP. 'Happy Again' will appear on her In The Meantime EP, which is set to be released in October.
