The vintage visuals transport you right back to the ‘70s and even feature a cameo from the late Bernard Manning
Described by the great Nile Rodgers as a ‘dope’ track, ‘Black Star Dancing’ is the funky title-track from Gallagher’s upcoming EP, set for release on June 14.
Speaking on the song, Noel said, “It manages to combine the influences of David Bowie, INXS, U2, Queen, Indeep AND ZZ Top FFS! … I might have been watching too much Top Of The Pops recently.” These ‘70s influences are certainly evident in the music video, which paints a nostalgic vintage vignette.
The visual recreates the set of the fictional Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club, presented by the late Bernard Manning from 1974 to 1977. The comedian introduced Noel and his High Flying Birds and they continue to play the single to a captivated audience.
