As part of our celebrations for Van Morrison's 75th birthday, Paul Casey & Friends feat. Terri Hooley perform 'In The Days Before Rock 'n' Roll', and Paul shares his reflections on Van's music.
One of most highly respected guitarists and singer-songwriters to emerge from Northern Ireland in recent years, Paul Casey released his acclaimed double album, Moving On, last year.
His performance of 'In The Days Before Rock 'n' Roll' also features Terri Hooley, Liam Bradley (Drums & Percussion [Van Morrison Band 1994, 1997–1999, 2003, 2008, 2016]), Nicky Scott (Bass [Van Morrison Band 1990–1998]), Rod McVey ( Piano & Accordion [Van Morrison Band 1990–1991]), Paul Casey (Guitar, Harmonic & Vocals), Damien McGeehan (Fiddle) andLauren Doherty [Amberlight] (Backing Vocals) – as well as appearances from Eve Blair, Mickey Bradley, Billy Doherty, Ralph McLean, John Kelly, Gino Lupari, Paddy Nash & Diane Greer and Kate St. John. The music was produced by Liam Bradley & Paul Casey, and recorded, mixed and mastered by Paul Casey at Cable Junction Studio.
