Singer-songwriter Paul McCann, who hails from Cavan, has just shared the new music video for Its Only A Fantasy, which is a track taken from his upcoming album to be released next month.
Paul explains that the the new track Its Only A Fantasy is about "desiring someone who is out of your reach, like a different social standing, or just someone who’s a lot cooler than me……unrequited love and the possibilities of achieving what could only be a fantasy."
He explains, "I wrote the song the morning after I first got to perform the song Woodcarver with Sandy Kelly.
"It was the first time I had met Sandy in person and we sat talking into the early hours with her telling me these incredible stories about performing with and staying with Johnny Cash in Nashville.
"The next morning I was still on a high, bouncing with energy and that's when the music and chorus of Its Only a Fantasy came to me. The song has been drawing comparisons to 'Elvis Costello' and Power Pop giants 'Jellyfish' which I'm chuffed about."
