Following the phenomenal success of their Choice Music Prize-nominated debut album, In Waiting, Pillow Queens made their US television debut last night, with a performance of 'Liffey' on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Ahead of their performance, Pillow Queens' Sarah Corcoran and Pamela Connolly spoke to James Corden about their album – which he described as "one of the best albums of 2020."
Pillow Queens' In Waiting, which ranked at No.5 on Hot Press's Top Albums of 2020, and was listed among Rough Trade's 100 Favourite Albums Of 2020, was described by Tanis Smither as "a distinctive, original and quietly brilliant debut" in her review of the album for Hot Press. "Our next guests are an outrageously talented rock band hailing from Dublin, Ireland," James Corden said on last night's show. "There's here tonight to make their US television debut. I could not be more excited to have them on the show."
