It's no secret 'round these parts that Dublin based, pop punk- ish four piece Pillow Queens are a firm favorite of ours.
So once they released their new track, Favorite we made it our track of the day and dutifully became obsessed with the Queen's ability to create contagious and contemplative choruses paired with with sprightly melodic riffs.
The video for Favorite is keeping in line with the finely tuned output we've almost come to expect from Pillow Queens in such a short amount of time and is nothing short of a visual masterpiece, hitting exactly the right tone and plus, it's full of poochies so, win win really.
The video is directed by Bob Gallagher, an acclaimed director in both the movie and music video world, who's previous work includes Girl Band's nervy cover of Blawan's, 'Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage and is an inside look at the highly competitive world of dog pageantry.
It's sweet, charming and ineffably humorous, featuring debutante style close ups of competitors with their beloved doggies and a laugh out loud moment with a competitor and a judge in the lads jax which leads to a scandalous finale.

It's fair to say that Pillow Queens have raised the bar with their witty and stylistically driven offering.
Catch them live at The Workman's Club in Dublin on 21st April or if you happen to be in London on St.Patrick's Day eve (16th March) catch them in the Irish Cultural Centre London alongside Delorentos, Video Blue and Tayne.
