Sharon Corr’s third studio album, 'The Fool & The Scorpion', is due to be released on 24th September.
Sharon Corr has released the music video for her latest single, 'Freefall.' The track is the second single from her forthcoming album, The Fool & The Scorpion.
Though 'Freefall' sounds upbeat and vibrant, the inspiration for it came to Corr when "life as [she] knew it was falling apart."
"I was forced to discover my strength, face the truth and confront my anger," said Corr. "Anger has its place in propelling you towards yourself; it can show you reality and make you strong enough to deal with it all, filling you with purpose to expel what’s wrong and move towards your independence and your calling. For me, that calling is music."
'Freefall' will be on Corr's third studio album, The Fool & The Scorpion, which will be available September 24. Inspiration for the record came from what Corr calls "the biggest storm of her life," resulting in ten songs about pushing on and believing in yourself.
Influenced by artists like Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell, Corr recorded the album in 20 days at The Village in LA with producer Larry Klein and guitarist Tim Pierce. It reflects her talent and experience as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
