Tebi Rex have dropped the music video for their latest single ‘Deadman’ which is taken from their eagerly awaited album, It’s Gonna Be Okay.
The video was shot portrait and creatively uses text messages, YouTube ads and Instagram stories to bring the visuals to life. It captures the talented duo as they explore the struggles of trying to be happy when you’re struggling in ‘Deadman.’
“This is us at our most angry, most frustrated, most hopeless. Which is funny because we made sure it sounded really upbeat. Like someone having a breakdown desperately trying and failing to convince themselves that it's going to be okay,” the pair said about the track.
‘Deadman’ dropped on September 29th and is Tebi Rex's last single from their upcoming sophomore album. The new track returns to the alt-pop sounds of their recent collaboration with ROE on ‘Hanging With Trees.’
The pair dropped ‘Deadman II’ — a prequel to their latest release — along with ‘who asked fatboy’ and ‘Oh It Hurts’ earlier this year. ‘who asked fatboy’ was a one-off single but the others will feature on their forthcoming album.

It’s Gonna Be Okay follows up the group’s debut album, 2019’s The Young Will Eat The Old. This was followed by their 2020 EP Brackets — the group’s third project after The Darkest Year Of Our Adventure, their maiden release in 2018.
Tebi Rex have been busy in 2021 with appearances at DCU, SXSW, Eurosonic, the Great Escape and a performance at The Line Of Best Fit’s ‘Off The Road’ series. The duo are slated to play a headline show in Dublin’s Opium Rooms on November 20th and will embark on a European and UK tour in 2022.
