Directed by Shane Seranno and starring Louise Cody, the latest video sees the Tipp lads return to the counter at their local Applegreen.
With their debut album Small Town Heroes released last Friday, The 2 Johnnies - Johnny Smacks and Johnny B - step things up with the release of another hilarious video, this time for the album track 'Deli Girl.'
To celebrate the launch of their album, the Tipp lads have just added a surprise bonus hometown (well…almost) date to their run around Ireland’s record stores, playing Golden Discs Clonmel this Thursday 6th June at 5pm. With Smacks and B bringing Galway’s Shop Street to a standstill on Saturday morning, this Tipperary gig just three days before their sold out St Anne’s Park gig promises to be massive.
Directed by Shane Seranno, ‘Deli Girl’ stars Laois’ “finest” Louise "Classy" Cody as the eponymous Deli Girl - the face that launched a thousand jambon runs. A sing-along soap opera of love, longing and deli food, the video was filmed at 2 Johnnies’ local Applegreen at Mongarrif in Clonmel.
With their last two videos ‘St. Patrick Drove a Honda Civic’ and ‘I’m So Hungover I Could Die’ easily accuring over hundreds of thousands of views, ‘Deli Girl’ is another 2 Johnnies’ banger with many familiar faces from their podcast, including ‘Neil the Intern’ and ‘Tour Manager James.’
