The online archive features material from Sampha, Jamie XX, Koreless and many more.
The xx have marked the launch of a new online archive called Young then — by independent label Young — by sharing a new documentary.
The archive features unreleased and new material from artists on the label’s roster including the xx, Sampha, Jamie xx, Koreless and more. A documentary about the xx’s 2014 shows at NYC Armory by Jamie-James Medina is available in the archive.
Along with the special xx documentary, Sampha and Jessie Ware’s song ‘Valentine’ from 2011 has been reissued on vinyl as part of the launch. Young then also includes previously unseens sets from a 2011 SXSW Boiler Room performance featuring Jamie xx, Sampha, Mount Kimbie and more.
There are also new recordings of Koreless performing with a string quartet at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios. Special performances from FKA Twigs and Caroline Polachek along with a conversation between the label’s founders about its origin and more are available in the archive.
