Netflix will release a new original series, Jessica Jones, based on the Marvel Comics superhero.
Jessica Jones will feature Breaking Bad and Gilmore Girls' Krysten Ritter in the title role, in addition to Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss and David Tennant.
In the show, Jessica will have supernatural powers that allow her an excessive amount of strength, wit and the ability to fly. Following her career as a superhero, she takes on the role as a private investigator, who deals with individuals who have unusual and remarkable abilities. The trailer indicates that the particular power that Jessica will be investigating in New York City is mind control, and that the propagator in the American metropolis once controlled her mind long ago.
The Jessica Jones series was created by Melissa Rosenberg and it will be released on Netflix on November 20.
