The eagerly awaited record drops in September...
Conor J. O'Brien has confirmed the September 21 release of The Art Of Pretending To Swim, his fourth solo album, which continues his fruitful liaison with Domino Records.
Imbued with "lyrical themes that embrace existential fears and hopes in this desperate, technologically-centred dystopian age", it features lead track 'A Trick Of The Light', 'Again', 'Sweet Saviour', 'Long Time Waiting', 'Fool', 'Love Came With All That It Brings', 'Real Go-Getter', 'Hold Me Down' and 'Ada'.
The aforementioned 'A Trick Of The Light' is accompanied by a brilliant Bob Gallagher-directed video.
“Myself and Bob got together and discussed the song thematically and came to the conclusion that there was no other option but to make a short film in which we follow a disheveled shamanistic protagonist who mysteriously triggers an altered state of consciousness in everyone he meets, or at least believes that he does," Conor reflects. "We also wanted lots of dancing and to inspire a general feeling of 'What the hell did I just watch?' in the viewer.”
