Railing against the apathy and cynicism directed towards those who want a better world, Wyvern Lingo's newest single is a clever montage of archive film footage and modern day footage from Irish protests and from the refugee crisis engulfing Europe and the middle east.
Speaking about the single, Karen from the band said: “’Out of My Hands’ was inspired by a man I met in a pub, the night of the Home Sweet Home / Occupy Nama demonstration. He was completely cynical towards activism. I tried to get inside his head, that mistrust and negativity on the refugee crisis, homelessness in Ireland, and the Repeal the 8th movement..”
In the music video, the man in question is represented by Humphrey Bogart's on-screen persona, which often saw taking on the role of the hard-boiled, self-satisfied leading man.
