The Waterboys will be releasing their landmark 12th album.
Coming off a successful string of acclaimed albums, with 2015's Modern Blues and 2017's Out of All This Blue, legendary group The Waterboys are set to release their newest album Where The Action Is on May 24th. The title of the album takes its inspiration from from Robert Parker's 1960's soul classic 'Let's Go Baby (Where The Action Is)', and the new album plays in a variety of genres, pushing the group's sound forward with an experimental approach.
Frontman and founder of The Waterboys, Mike Scott has written songs for a diverse range of legendary artists including Prince, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, and Ellie Goulding. His songwriting shines on this newest album, a winning combination with the talents of guitarist Steve Wickham, keyboardist Brother Paul, bassist Aongus Ralston and drummer Ralph Salmins. With musical tributes to Clash guitarist Mick Jones, poet Robert Burns and writer Kenneth Grahame, Where The Action Is is sure to be an inventive and unique addition to the bands celebrated legacy.
