The Welsh artist wrote the album while in St. Ives before the Covid lockdowns of 2020 before finishing it in Cardiff with her co-producer Rhys Edwards. Tresor has a heavy focus on ideas of home and self- themes that remain intrinsic to the collective experience of the pandemic over the last few years.
The psych-pop work also includes a companion film written and directed by Gwenno. Anglesey-based filmmaker and photographer Clare Marie Bailey collaborated on the project.
