The official Irish charts are in! This week Westlife, Billie Eilish, and Dermot Kennedy are sitting on top.
What a year for Westlife! Kian, Mark, Nicky and Shane’s comeback album (their first in nine years) is Ireland’s fastest-selling album of 2019.
Spectrum debuts at Number 1 on this week’s Official Irish Albums Chart with more first-week sales than any other album released this year; scoring 8,900 chart sales, Spectrum surpasses the previous best of 7,000 set by Dermot Kennedy’s debut Without Fear. Westlife outsold all of the Top 20 entries combined to secure the number one slot.
Speaking on the achievement, Westlife said, “Everybody in Ireland, thank you so much for making our brand-new album Spectrum Number 1. It’s our 11th Number 1 album so thank you so much guys, it means an awful lot to us. We’ll see you next summer for loads of concerts – Pairc Ui Chaoimh, see you there!”
In other chart news, Billie Eilish is Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart for the very first time. The 17-year-old phenomenon slid into the Number one slot this week with Everything I Wanted. Released midweek last week, the song charted outside the Top 50 at Number 53 last Friday based on two days of sales.

Finally, topping the 'Irish Homegrown Top 5' chart is Dermot Kennedy with 'Outnumbered.' Since the rising star graced Hot Press' front cover two months, he's continued his reign over the Irish charts. Congrats Dermot!
