Ordinarily, this is the part of the show, er, I mean magazine where I would enter into jaunty, piss-ripping debate about controversial and sexy new music videos by Rihanna and/or Shakira (in a word, laughable and sweaty, respectively), but this fortnight I'm opting for something different. At the address below, you will find a short film by 26 year-old Tyler Cullen who has taken to asking arbitrary New Yorkers what song is playing on their iPods as they stroll, sprint or march past him on the street. Results range from the predictable (Rasta street artist listening to 'Buffalo Soldier') to the inspired ('The Best Is Yet To Come' first thing in the morning? Why didn't we think of that?), but either way, the clip serves two purposes: 1. It submerges you into the soundtrack of an entire city, and 2. It reminds you to dig out some damn fine choons you'd forgotten all about.
