When Next We Meet returns to Raheen House in Clonmel this June 1st and 2nd.
This June, When Next We Meet will welcome Ye Vagabonds, Susan O’Neill and Cormac Looby on Saturday June 1, followed by Bell X1, Rachael Lavelle and The Line on Sunday June 2.
Now in its third year, When Next We Meet has steadily grown to attract a slew of incredible Irish acts to come and perform at the festival. Acts like O’Neill have garnered major attention across the country ever since her collaboration with Mick Flannery.
O’Neill has received nominations for the Choice Music prize and the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards for Album of the Year, Female Folk Artist of the Year. She took home the award for Best Original Folk Track for the song ‘Chain Reaction’.
Other headliners like Looby, hailing from Cahir, Co. Tipperary, is set to release his debut album, A Perpetual State of Irony this year. Looby will be performing alongside Bell X1, a band that he pulls inspiration from.
Sunday performers like Lavelle are in the running for the Choice Music Prize Album of the Year for her debut album Big Dreams. This Dublin born singer-composer merges influences from contemporary and classical music to create a beautifully blended soundscape.
The Line, also known as Brian Dillion, is a musician and sound artist originally from Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Dillion is also a member of Meltybrains? and has worked with many incredible Irish acts over the past decade including Talos, Loah, Briìdiìn and Lilla Vargen. Last year, he also released 13 collaborative tracks for the album Red Blood Cells & Righteousness featuring acts like Murli, God Knows, Sorcha Richardson and more.

One of When Next We Meets co-organisers, Kate Twohig says, “The artists announced today complete the main stage line-up, and complement the headliners, so well. We’ve been really lucky with how things have fallen into place for our third outing, and are just so excited for the audience to share in our love for these artists, in such a beautiful and intimate space.”
