'A Little Piece of Heaven' is out now.
Ireland's Whenyoung have released new single 'A Little Piece of Heaven' today September 1st, their first new piece of music in two years.
The song is a "contemplation on the boldness and hurry of childhood. The naive expectations of adult life I had as a child have petered out along the course of growing up and I've learned that it's the little things, like happy memories with family, that are the most important," said singer Aoife Power.
The band consists of Aoife Power and Andrew Flood. The indie-pop duo have evolved tremendously over the years, beginning as a band called Sisters in 2012. They became Whenyoung in 2016, and have since developed their unique alternative pop sound. Their music can be found on popular editorial Spotify playlists like Dark & Stormy and Deep Dark Indie.
Their debut album Reasons to Dream came out in 2019 and was incredibly well received, earning them performances for Mulberry, Sunday Brunch and two live BBC Radio sessions. They were even invited to play at Shane McGowan of The Pogues' 60th birthday party.
