Where's Your Money
There’s absolutely nothing pretty or polished about the latest single from Sweet Jane’s Sugar For My Soul album, but with a name like ‘Where’s Your Money?’, nobody was expecting an ode to baby hedgehogs. Snarl for snarl, this track is a straight-up slice of vintage-inspired grunge pop, and quite a good one too, if you can get past the echo-loaded vocals. Even so, if you’re making a playlist for the dole queue, for the walk to the Credit Union or just to show your local loan-shark that you’ve got a sense of humour, this tune’s a no-brainer (along with Aloe Blacc’s ‘I Need A Dollar’ and Simply Red’s ‘Money’s Too Tight To Mention’).
